My Story

Hi, I'm Andrea, an outdoor enthusiast at heart and adventure photographer from the beautiful West Coast of Canada. Here is a little background of how travel, the outdoors and photography have played such an influential part of my life.

Growing up in BC, a love for the outdoors was instilled in me from childhood. I’ve been fortunate enough to live in beautiful areas of BC; from the coastlines of Vancouver Island to the lakes in the Okanagan Valley, and the Coast Mountains around Whistler. From living in these places I've truly learned to appreciate the vast diversity of beauty in BC.

Over the years nature has become a sort of haven for me to forget about the everyday stresses of life. I'm the most content when I'm out in nature and always awestruck by its natural beauty. I’m energized by outdoor pursuits and adventures - whether that be going on backcountry hiking trips, exploring coastlines, skiing, surfing, mountain biking... I'm always up for an adventure or to learn a new sport!

After returning home and completing my final semester I graduated with a Bachelor in Business and a minor in "what-the-heck-do-I-do-now?!" Like many other new-graduates, I was completely lost in this new chapter of life. For months I searched for jobs and career paths but nothing struck my interest. I wasn't ready to get stuck in a 9-5 job that I knew I wouldn't enjoy much. I needed a change of scenery and lifestyle - something to get that spark back in my life that I felt while I was traveling. So I took a leap of faith and I decided to move to Whistler, BC for a ski season - a dream of mine for many years.

Whistler is THE place for adventure-minded people and thrill-seekers so I knew I was going to love it. Living in Whistler the past couple years and being surrounded by mountainous landscapes and beautiful sceneries sparked my passion to get back into photography. Besides skiing, photography became my biggest hobby and creative outlet. I really enjoyed capturing snowy mountain range landscapes in the winter. Like many others who move to Whistler for one season, I ended up deciding to stay for the summer.. and who knows for how long now!

This lifestyle has had an extremely positive impact on my life and my goal is to create content from my experiences that inspire others to get outside, challenge themselves, and explore what their backyard & beyond has to offer!

My love for traveling and passion for photography was ignited by a 5-month academic semester abroad living in Lisbon, Portugal during the final year of my degree. I bought my first camera to document the trip and be able to share those experiences with others. While I was traveling around Portugal I was constantly amazed by the unique landscapes and colourful cities. I was captivated by the rugged coastline cliffs of the Algarve region in southern Portugal and the lush green scenery in the Azores Island. This trip not only gave me an intense case of the travel bug but it also opened up my eyes to photography and the thrill of capturing the beauty of places and moments.
